Retail Staff Pharmacist | Pollok, Texas

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist opportunity is available to provide maternity leave coverage from December 2026 through February 2027 in Pollok, TX. This contract role offers a flexible schedule within store hours, allowing you to choose a shift that fits your availability.

Schedule Options:

• First Shift: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (options to end earlier between 4:00 – 4:30 p.m.)
• Second Shift: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (options to end earlier between 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.)

Responsibilities:

• Represent core company values consistently while delivering exceptional customer service aligned with organizational mission.
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, including HIPAA and prescription verification requirements.
• Perform final checks on prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers.
• Provide expert guidance regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosages, and storage to both prescribers and patients.
• Maintain quality assurance protocols, secure controlled substances, and properly dispose of hazardous waste pharmaceuticals.
• Handle incoming pharmacist phone calls, retrieve messages and prescriptions via voicemail, and perform necessary patient counseling.
• Manage customer concerns in person and via phone in a professional manner.Note: This location does not offer vaccinations or medication therapy management services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience in a similar retail setting.
• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license.
