Sales Associate

Provide excellent customer service, operate the cash register, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers. Supports daily convenience store and fuel station operations while promoting sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Assist customers with fuel purchases, store products, and general inquiries.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to ensure products are available and organized.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, fuel pumps, and exterior areas.
• Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to company standards, if applicable.
• Verify age requirements for tobacco, alcohol, and other restricted products.
• Follow all safety, security, and loss prevention procedures.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Perform opening, closing, and shift-change procedures.
• Support promotional activities and upsell products when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, convenience store, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 pounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.

Required qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in the retail industry
• 21+ years or older
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Valid driver's license
