Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Morgantown, WV | Stepdown/MedSurg

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed MedSurg Stepdown/Floor unit with ratios of 1:3 (Stepdown) and 1:5–6 (Floor)
• Titrate IV drips as required per patient care needs
• Monitor telemetry and independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips each shift
• Collaborate with in-house Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) for patients requiring ventilator management
• Work alongside Certified Nursing Assistants and support staff; may be required to float to other units as needed
• Adhere to unit dress code: Royal Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact license valid in West Virginia)
• BLS certification (required)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with IV drip titration
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination: 2-dose Moderna or Pfizer series, or single-dose J&J); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted for review and approval
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a MedSurg Stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting
• Familiarity with ventilator management in a stable patient population
• Experience working with telemetry monitoring systems and tele technician teams
