Job Title: Cleaner Data Center Construction Site

Job Description

This role focuses on performing final cleaning services within a data center construction environment. The cleaner ensures that server rooms, equipment, and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to a high standard of safety and cleanliness, supporting the successful completion and operation of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed final cleaning of the data center facility, including server rooms and surrounding areas.
• Wipe down server racks, equipment surfaces, and related infrastructure to remove dust and debris.
• Sweep, mop, and dust floors, walkways, and work areas throughout the facility.
• Work at heights, including standing on ladders up to approximately 8 feet, to dust servers, wires, and elevated surfaces using a broom duster or similar tools.
• Use appropriate cleaning tools, supplies, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Support cleaning activities in a commercial or industrial construction setting and adapt to changing site conditions.
• Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure cleaning tasks are completed on schedule and to required standards.
• Operate lifts such as scissor or boom lifts if certified and required for specific cleaning tasks.
• Report any safety concerns, hazards, or equipment issues to site leadership promptly.

Essential Skills

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial or industrial environment.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and sanitizing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, and dusting.
• Comfort working at heights, including standing on ladders up to approximately 8 feet.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment appropriately.
• Capability to work a consistent daytime schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial or sanitation roles.
• Customer service experience involving direct customer interaction.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as buffers or other floor-care machinery.
• Scissor lift or boom lift experience.
• Lift certification for operating scissor or boom lifts is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with construction site environments and related safety practices.

Work Environment

The position is based on a data center construction site, working primarily indoors within a commercial or industrial environment. Standard hours are 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working on ladders at heights of around 8 feet. You may also work around or on construction-related equipment and lifts when certified. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toe boots, while all additional personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and other required gear, is provided on site. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to construction site protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claude, TX.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
