Regional CDL Driver

Genesis Turfgrass, Inc. is searching for a CDL Driver for local/regional deliveries in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and West Virginia. Our drivers are dispatched out of our satellite warehouse located in Richmond, VA and are home most days, there will be occasional overnight stays for some of our South Carolina runs. Genesis Turfgrass is a turf and ornamental distributor in southern Pennsylvania, Richmond, VA, and Lakeland, FL.

· Safely operate vehicle while maintaining the company’s driving performance standards.

· Assist in unloading deliveries at customer locations.

· Follow proper pre-trip procedures as required by DOT regulation 392.7

· Maintain and follow all proper delivery and pick up paperwork and procedures.

· Maintain all D.O.T. paperwork and qualifications.

· Verify proper operating conditions of equipment used.

Required qualifications:

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)

· One year minimum CDL driving experience

· Must successfully pass DOT Physical

· No current CDL suspension or revocation

· Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) & good DAC Report

· Successfully pass a background check

· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

· Must be able to use handheld technology and smartphone applications such as GPS

· Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

· Knowledge of proper use of equipment

· Able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred qualifications:

· Hazmat endorsement

· Class A Commercial Driver License

· Tanker Endorsement

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: $25-27 per hour depending on experience
