We're looking for an energetic, caring, and passionate educator to join our team at School of Rock Royersford. Teach. Inspire. Have fun. And help some of our youngest musicians discover the joy of making music. You don't have to be a musician to rock this role!

WHY WORK WITH US?
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Competitive pay
  • Profit-sharing bonuses
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • Generous employee discounts
  • A community of passionate musicians
At School of Rock Royersford, you’ll be surrounded by an incredible community of musicians, teachers, performers, and families who genuinely love what they do. You'll have the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you, earn competitive pay, and have the opportunity to make a real impact on young students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Youth Music Instructor to lead our Little Wing (ages 4–5) and Rookies (ages 6–7) classes.

YOUTH MUSIC INSTRUCTOR – LITTLE WING & ROOKIES
School of Rock is more than a music school—we’re a community of musicians, teachers, performers, and families who believe music can change lives. With more than 425 schools worldwide, we’re the largest after-school music education provider in the world. We put on shows to teach music. You'll help create a warm, supportive, and inspiring environment where young children can explore music, develop confidence, build foundational skills, and discover how much fun it can be to make music with others.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Youth Music Instructor, you'll lead engaging group classes designed specifically for young children. You'll use music, movement, games, and hands-on activities to help students develop foundational musical skills while building confidence, creativity, and a love of performing.
  • Lead fun, engaging music activities appropriate for children ages 4–7.
  • Introduce students to the fundamentals of rhythm, melody, listening, and musical expression.
  • Use age-appropriate games, activities, and instruments to keep students engaged and excited about learning.
  • Create thoughtful lesson plans based on the developmental needs and abilities of young students.
  • Encourage students to participate, explore, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom experiences.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families and be an active part of the school community.
  • Assist with school events, performances, and the overall operation of the school.
  • Follow School of Rock's Code of Conduct, safety policies, and supervision requirements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • A genuine passion for working with young children, especially ages 4–7.
  • Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, or working with children is preferred.
  • A strong interest in music and the ability to engage children through music and movement.
  • Ability to play at least one instrument such as guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, or vocals.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a group of young students.
  • Resourceful, dependable, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment and a strong commitment to student safety.
  • Availability for part-time work, including evening and weekend hours.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working with kids. Someone who can walk into a room full of four-year-olds and make them excited to be there. Someone who understands that at this age, music education isn't about getting everything right—it's about exploration, confidence, creativity, and having fun.

If you love music, love working with young children, and want to help give them an amazing first experience with music, we'd love to hear from you.
