• Set up and operate manual, Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and computerized machine shop equipment.
• Machine ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, plastics, and synthetic materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Perform machining calculations involving dimensions, speeds, feeds, tooling, and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining methods to maximize efficiency.
• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, punch presses, power brakes, and other machine shop equipment.
• Fabricate and modify complex parts to precise specifications.
• Inspect, calibrate, and rework components and assemblies as needed.
• Recommend process improvements to support manufacturing efficiency.
• Fabricate sheet metal, tubing, and extruded materials.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of machining, tool and die, or related manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of measuring devices, gauges, and cutting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
