About this job

Description:

 Summary

Nisma Therapy Services is a small, family oriented practice serving pediatric and adult clients in Fairbanks. We’re growing our occupational therapy team and welcome applications from licensed Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and OT and OTA students who are completing fieldwork or close to graduating.

Our OTs evaluate and treat clients with needs in fine motor skills, visual motor skills, sensory processing, self care, feeding, and daily living. They build individualized care plans, provide evidence based treatment in the clinic and through telehealth, and supervise COTAs, aides, and students. Our COTAs carry out treatment under an OT’s plan of care. They support clients of all ages with physical, sensory, developmental, and cognitive needs and keep the supervising OT updated so goals can be adjusted. Students train under a licensed OT or COTA, gaining hands on experience with a wide range of clients, with a path to a role on our team after graduation.

Everyone on our OT team works closely with families and with our speech and physical therapy staff to help clients take full part in daily life.
