Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad patient population spanning pediatrics to geriatrics in a full-functioning freestanding ED setting
• Manage a diverse range of presentations including lacerations, abdominal pain, pediatric complaints, mental health evaluations, stroke alerts, and cardiac arrest
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2–3 within an 11-bed unit with an average daily census of 36
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR to document and coordinate patient care
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed, with potential float to a sister campus
• Adhere to holiday work expectations: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays; if three fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale; EBRR completion required during NEO week
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, including during orientation week
• Full compliance documentation due by the Tuesday prior to start date; core onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity or freestanding emergency department environment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Comfort managing a wide variety of emergency presentations across all age groups
