Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney

• This opportunity is suited to an attorney who can manage a caseload, develop effective defense strategies, and work collaboratively with colleagues while maintaining strong client relationships.

• Handle workers' compensation defense cases from initial evaluation through resolution.

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.

• Participate in depositions, hearings, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.

• Evaluate claims, assess potential exposure, and develop appropriate defense strategies.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, claims professionals, and other relevant parties.

• Manage case deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and meet billing expectations.

• Collaborate with colleagues to provide effective legal representation and client service.

• At least 2 years of experience in workers' compensation defense, including experience handling claims and related personal injury matters.

• Active admission to the Illinois Bar required.

• Experience with related personal injury matters preferred.

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and case management skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Ability to independently manage assigned matters and work effectively within a team.

• Indiana or Wisconsin Bar admission is a plus.

• Annual salary of $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
