Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed ICU with a 1:1–2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing a general medical/surgical population including stable CVA post-TPA, respiratory failure, manual proning, COPD, CHF, and DKA
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG strips; manage patients on ventilators (Galileo and G5 models)
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
• Participate in charge nurse duties as needed, including break relief coverage
• Rotate holiday coverage with core staff and work every other weekend
• Float to other area facilities within the Sacramento region as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips and manage ventilated patients
• Completion of a Dysrhythmia Exam (via Relias) is required prior to placement; candidates receive two attempts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with Galileo and G5 ventilators
• Prior experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within an ICU setting
• Experience caring for patients requiring manual proning or telemed-supported intensivist coverage
