Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Location

Gallatin, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Orthopedic unit serving geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations (13 and older)
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including post-operative joints, post-op bariatric, post-operative GI, and trauma
• Maintain patient ratios of 4–6:1 across a 23-bed unit
• Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and patient management
• Float to other units as needed
• Work weekend shifts as needed, approximately every third weekend

Required Qualifications

• ASN or higher; active RN licensure valid in the state of Tennessee
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Experience with post-operative, orthopedic, or medical-surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
