Job Description
What you’ll do

Step onto our production floor where trailers take shape, and champion quality from the first sub-assembly to the final unit rolling off the line. You’ll interpret engineering drawings and company/customer specifications, then put parts, sub-assemblies, and completed trailers to the test—verifying they meet exacting standards and documenting outcomes with precision.

Day-to-day impact
  • Partner on the trailer assembly line and in sub-assembly areas to monitor designated checkpoints set by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Use inspection and test equipment—including brake test machine, light tester, man lift, bumper jack, ABS tester, wrenches, and tape measure—to evaluate quality and safety.
  • Confirm that components and builds align with drawings, standards, and specifications for both company and customer requirements.
  • Record pass/fail decisions, sign off on appropriate forms, and clearly capture reasons for any nonconformance.
  • Support management in driving corrective actions when acceptance, reliability, or quality thresholds are not met.
  • Communicate promptly with assembly line managers about out-of-spec conditions—especially recurring issues that appear on more than one unit.
  • Maintain daily “off-the-line” status reports for all units exiting sub-assembly and final assembly.
  • Provide ongoing product quality appraisals to leaders whose teams directly shape the finished trailer.
  • Work safely, efficiently, and productively while following company policies and procedures; contribute to a collaborative, quality-first culture.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and be available for mandatory overtime when required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (education and/or experience considered).
  • Mandatory: FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) test and re-certification every two years.
  • Basic computer proficiency; fluent in English (spoken and written); bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with hourly manufacturing employees and all levels of management.
Core strengths
  • Detail orientation—digging into root causes, not just symptoms.
  • Motivation—driven to improve and follow through.
  • Organization—systematic and orderly approach to work.
Training you’ll receive
  • New-hire orientation.
  • Company-provided instruction on trailer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality-check procedures.
  • Hands-on training to operate measuring and test equipment.
  • Equipment operation training may include: Utility/Golf Cart; Aerial Lifts – Genie/Wave/Manlifts.
Proficiency expected
  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • Quality Control Experience
Accessibility

Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position.
