BEI Electrical - Commercial Service Technician

Reports To: Service Manager

Position Summary:

The Electrical Service Technician is responsible for performing electrical troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance for commercial, industrial, and residential customers. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. The Service Technician diagnoses electrical issues, provides solutions, completes work safely and efficiently, and ensures customers receive high‑quality service. This position plays a critical role in representing the company, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting the overall success of the service department.

Expectations for the role:

• Perform electrical service work safely, accurately, and efficiently
• Diagnose electrical problems and provide clear, effective solutions
• Communicate professionally with customers, service coordinators, and management
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and time tracking
• Keep service vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and well‑maintained
• Uphold company safety standards and comply with NEC and OSHA requirements
• Represent the company professionally on customer job sites
• Support apprentices and contribute to their training and development
• Maintain strong customer relationships through reliability and quality workmanship
