Engine Lathe Machinist (Night Shift)

Location: Tampa, FL
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Night shift

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with hands-on experience operating a manual engine lathe. In this role, you will machine parts to meet job specifications, check your work for accuracy, and support production goals on the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a manual engine lathe to machine parts to specified dimensions.
• Review work instructions, drawings, and measurements to determine machining requirements.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using appropriate precision instruments.
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Perform routine care of the lathe and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Work with the production supervisor and team to complete jobs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Required: Experience operating a manual engine lathe.
• Ability to measure accurately and check work for quality.
• Familiarity with machining practices and shop safety.
• Dependable and able to work the night shift.
• Able to work independently and communicate with the production team.
