Accounts Payable Specialist

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $45,000 to $60,000 per year.

• Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring transactions are accurately coded and recorded within the accounting system.

• Support payment processing activities, including vendor payment schedules, invoice approvals, and disbursement coordination.

• Assist with purchasing and procurement related documentation to ensure compliance with established procedures.

• Participate in month end close activities by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.

• Support audit requests and maintain organized financial records to facilitate reporting and compliance requirements.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related accounting support role.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial recordkeeping, and general accounting principles.

• Previous experience using ERP systems and accounting software in a professional business environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work accurately with financial data and reports.

• Manufacturing, production, or inventory-based industry experience.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.

• Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
