Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, unload, and organize inventory within our warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments with precision.
• Safely handle materials using manual handling techniques and equipment to prevent damage and ensure worker safety.
• Manage inventory through barcode scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage.
• Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment and prepare shipments for dispatch while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment for maintenance needs or repairs; perform basic troubleshooting and report issues promptly.
• Follow warehouse safety protocols including OSHA standards and forklift safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipment contents, updating inventory records, and organizing stock in designated areas.

Skills

• Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control procedures.
• Familiarity with materials handling best practices, manual handling techniques, and heavy lifting safety standards.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or order quantities accurately.
• Understanding of shipping & receiving processes along with OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Excellent attention to detail for order picking, load & unload tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment and coordinate with supervisors or other departments.
