Job Description
Love music? Love teaching? Want to inspire the next generation of rock stars?
School of Rock Madison is looking for an energetic, talented, and passionate Keyboard Instructor to join our team!
We're not your typical music school. At School of Rock, students don't just learn an instrument. They join bands, rehearse with other musicians, and take the stage for live performances. Our instructors are at the heart of making that experience unforgettable.
We're looking for someone who brings strong keyboard skills, a solid foundation in music theory and technique, and, most importantly, an enthusiasm for helping musicians of all ages grow.
What You'll Do
- Teach engaging, personalized keyboard lessons to children, teens, and adults.
- Help students develop strong fundamentals in music theory, technique, and musicianship.
- Inspire students to explore everything from classic rock to today's hits.
- Prepare students for live performances and help them build confidence on and off the stage.
- Create a fun, supportive environment where students are excited to learn.
- Collaborate with our team of musicians and instructors to deliver an incredible student experience.
- Communicate with students and parents about progress and accomplishments.
What We're Looking For
- Strong keyboard proficiency with an emphasis on music theory and technique.
- Teaching and/or professional performance experience preferred, but not required.
- A positive, outgoing personality and a genuine passion for teaching.
- Someone who is dependable, energetic, patient, and a great team player.
- The ability to connect with students of different ages, personalities, and skill levels.
- A desire to continue growing as both a musician and an educator.
Bonus points if you sing or play additional instruments! We love versatile musicians who can bring multiple talents to our school.
Schedule & Availability
We're looking for someone with approximately 15–20 hours of availability per week.
Why School of Rock?
This isn't your typical teaching job. You'll be part of a creative, collaborative community where music comes alive every day.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Make a real difference in musicians' lives.
- Work alongside other talented, passionate musicians.
- Be part of an exciting, performance-based music education program.
- Develop your teaching skills while continuing to grow as a musician.
- Have fun doing what you love!
If you're a great musician who loves sharing your passion for music, we'd love to meet you!
Apply today and help us inspire musicians of all ages at School of Rock Madison!
