Site Foreman

The Foreman leads field crews performing underground utility and civil/site construction, coordinating daily production, safety, quality, materials, equipment, and field reporting.

• Review plans, profiles, details, approved submittals, survey information, and utility markings before assigning work.
• Plan daily crew activities and coordinate manpower, access, tools, equipment, materials, and inspections.
• Direct excavation, bedding, pipe installation, connections, backfill, compaction, and restoration to required line and grade.
• Coordinate with survey and quality-control personnel and verify installations before work is concealed.
• Enforce pre-task planning, JSAs, PPE, utility protection, and project safety controls; stop and report unsafe work.
• Perform excavation competent-person duties only when qualified and formally assigned or coordinate with the designated competent person.
• Monitor quantities, productivity, equipment condition, workmanship, and material usage and address avoidable delays or rework.
• Coordinate inspections and testing and promptly correct deficiencies.
• Complete daily reports, time and equipment records, photographs, and redline/as-built information in Contractor Foreman.
• Report changed conditions, utility conflicts, incidents, damage, and decisions needed from supervision.
• Strong hands-on underground utility, excavation, and civil/site experience with demonstrated crew-lead capability.
• Ability to interpret civil plans, profiles, survey stakes, elevations, grades, slopes, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of safe trenching, utility protection, equipment movement, lifting awareness, and installation quality.
• Ability to communicate clearly, lead crews, and use a phone or tablet for field reporting.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among assigned sites.
