Electrician-Commercial/Residential

Superior Skilled Trades seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial/Residential Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential electrical systems. This position requires strong knowledge of electrical codes, safe work practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Work located in Carrolton, TX

PAY: $30.00–$32.00/hour (based upon experience)

HOURS: 7:00 AM-3:00PM

SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday–Friday; 40+ hours/week

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: Temp to hire

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/residential electrical systems
• Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, breakers, and electrical equipment
• Perform electrical service upgrades and panel replacements
• Run and terminate electrical wiring through walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas
• Install and troubleshoot lighting, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI devices, smoke detectors, and other electrical components
• Diagnosing electrical problems using meters and testing equipment
• Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and diagrams
• Perform rough-in and finish electrical work on new construction and remodeling projects
• Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and other trades
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements

Qualifications

• Previous commercial/residential electrical experience preferred
• Knowledge of residential wiring methods and electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Familiarity with NEC requirements and local electrical codes
• Experience using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Will drive to office and take company van
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Must pass background check

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment
• Ability to work from ladders and lifts
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or technical training
• OSHA certification
• Experience with new residential construction, remodeling, and service work
