Certified Midwife

Position: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
Location: New Haven, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full‐scope midwifery care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include conducting office visits, performing assessments, managing pregnancies and births, providing contraceptive counseling, and collaborating with physicians and other clinicians to coordinate care. This role also involves patient education, maintaining accurate documentation, and following evidence‐based practice protocols. Shared call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in midwifery and maternity care (prenatal, labor, birth, postpartum)
• Strong foundation in nursing and medicine with ability to perform comprehensive assessments
• Knowledge of family planning, contraceptive counseling, and reproductive health education
• Current CNM certification/licensure with graduate degree from an accredited program
• Experience in collaborative OB/Gyn practice settings and working with diverse populations
• Excellent communication, patient education, and counseling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to evolving clinical practices
