Job Description
CitiStaff is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer Technician for a well-established, family-owned commercial furniture manufacturer in Southern California. Our client specializes in high-quality, modern seating and tables and is looking for a driven, detail-oriented individual with a strong technical and manufacturing background.
Pay Rate: $23.00–$32.00/hr. DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:45 PM
Lunch: 45 minutes
Location: La Palma, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Summary:
Accountable for producing the following results: New product costing, ERP set-up and maintenance, Engineer documentation and process/system improvements.
Tasks:
o Ensure ERP set-up is correct and appropriate as it pertains to engineering including but not limited to Methods of Manufacturing and product configurators.
o Provide and maintain spreadsheets that are to be used by other departments as tools to improve productivity and quality of work.
o Assist in decision making as it pertains to making vs. buying raw materials.
o Lend technical support to Customer Service.
o Monitor manufacturing processes and make recommendations to management to help maximize current resources and minimize costs.
o Suggest revisions to methods of operation, material handling, or equipment layout.
o Collect data to assist in process improvement activities.
o Work with product engineers and assist in developing new products.
o Continuously analyze and improve current systems to make planning and decision making more efficient.
o Provide support product improvement projects to help make sure projects are completed according to company’s standards.
o Assist other members of the company in other tasks as deemed necessary by direct supervisor or management
Requirements:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
o Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
o Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
