Pay: $25/hour
Contract: 13 Weeks | Start Date: November 9, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient Multi-Specialty Physician Practice

IMMEDIATE HIRING – EXPERIENCED MEDICAL ASSISTANT!

Phaxis is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract opportunity with a leading healthcare organization in West Palm Beach, FL.

This position will initially support the Rheumatology Department, with an eventual transition to Gynecology.

The practice operates under a high-touch patient care model, seeing approximately 6 patients daily and emphasizing personalized, quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
• Perform blood draws, specimen collection, and EKGs.
• Assist physicians and nurses with examinations and clinical procedures.
• Support Rheumatology and Gynecology patient care.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain medical supplies.
• Coordinate patient care and ensure accurate medical documentation.
• Provide excellent patient service and communication.
• Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate and at least 1 year of experience OR more than 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Blood draw/phlebotomy experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Rheumatology and/or Gynecology experience.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy, EMT, or CNA.

EMR: Currently utilizing TouchWorks, with a transition to Epic scheduled for November 9, 2026.
