Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE
Hours: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
Location: Greenwood, LA
Schedule: No weekends

Seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on diesel repair experience who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers. Welding experience is required.

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension issues
• Repair and replace worn or damaged components
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Inspect trucks and trailers for safety and mechanical concerns
• Complete routine service including oil changes, filters, fluids, and lubrication
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Accurately communicate needed repairs and completed work

• Previous professional diesel mechanic experience required
• Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
• Welding experience required
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Must be dependable and able to maintain a Monday–Friday schedule
• Valid driver's license preferred
