Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank, Chemistry & Hematology

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to perform routine and STAT laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely results, maintain quality control standards, and support regulatory compliance. Candidates must have at least 3 years of Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist experience.

Location: Hudson, FL

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for night shift

Relocation Assistance: Considered on a case-by-case basis

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.
• Ensure accurate, timely testing and reporting of patient results.
• Perform quality control procedures and document results according to established protocols.
• Investigate and address results that fall outside acceptable parameters.
• Maintain laboratory records, pending logs, and required documentation.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Monitor reagents and supplies to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Handle critical specimens and abnormal test results according to established procedures.
• Support regulatory compliance, including applicable laboratory accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Technology or a related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Florida state Technologist License required, or ability to obtain it during the interview process.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
