Cardiovascular ICU RN - Critical Care | Rotating Weekends

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse to care for critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support and IV drips. The RN will provide specialized critical care, advocate for patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Candidates must have recent acute care ICU experience, with experienced PCU nurses also considered.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Nights, rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide specialized care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor patients requiring ventilator support, IV drips, and other intensive interventions.
• Advocate for patients and families while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Educate patients and families about medications and treatment instructions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Support continuous improvement in clinical care and patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license. Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days after relocation.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN experience required within the past 2–3 years.
• Candidates with 2+ years of PCU RN experience may also be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
