This inpatient facility is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage to meet the clinical needs of its adult patient population. The facility maintains a support team of 10 psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to facilitate continuity of inpatient psychiatric care. Clinical operations are structured to deliver inpatient psychiatric services on a full-time, day shift basis within an on-site environment.

The Greater New Haven area offers a range of attractions, including state parks, museums, and cultural institutions such as the Yale University Art Gallery, the Shore Line Trolley Museum, and the New Haven Museum. Outdoor enthusiasts will find options for hiking, kayaking, and scenic drives across the region's parks and waterways. The area also hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including food festivals, road races, craft fairs, and walking tours.

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population, working day shifts Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management within the inpatient setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call obligations required.
