Pay: Up to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and weld-test results

Abundant Solutions is seeking experienced TIG Tube Welders for a Tulsa-area opportunity. We are looking for skilled welders with strong GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) experience who can produce high-quality welds on carbon steel tubing and work with stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and chrome alloys.

Candidates must demonstrate strong welding technique, attention to detail, and the ability to pass a position-specific welding test.

Job Responsibilities

Perform precision TIG (GTAW) welding on tubing and related components.
Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and chrome alloys according to job requirements.
Complete welds in flat, roll-out, 6G, and restricted positions, depending on the assigned qualification level.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, specifications, and fabrication drawings.
Maintain proper heat input, travel speed, weld penetration, and bead appearance.
Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure work meets quality standards.
Prepare materials and joints for welding, including cleaning, fit-up, and alignment.
Follow welding procedures, safety requirements, and applicable quality standards.
Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area.

Welding Test Requirements

Candidates will be evaluated based on the applicable qualification level.

TIG I – Roll-Out (1G) Weld Test | Carbon Steel

Demonstrate TIG welding ability in the 1G roll-out position.
Maintain consistent weld quality, proper fusion, and acceptable bead appearance.
Demonstrate control of the weld puddle and consistent travel speed.

TIG II – 6G Position Weld Test | Carbon Steel

Complete a TIG weld test in the 6G fixed-pipe position.
Demonstrate the ability to weld around the pipe in multiple orientations without rotating the workpiece.
Maintain consistent penetration, fusion, and weld quality throughout the joint.

TIG III – Restricted Position Weld Test | Carbon Steel

Complete a TIG weld test in a restricted-access position.
Demonstrate torch control, puddle management, and the ability to maintain weld quality in limited working space.
Show the ability to produce consistent, quality welds despite access and positioning challenges.

Final qualification requirements will depend on the specific position and applicable welding procedure.

Required Qualifications

Previous professional TIG/GTAW welding experience, preferably on tubing or pipe.
Experience welding carbon steel; experience with stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and chrome alloys is highly desirable.
Ability to pass the required TIG welding test.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper equipment operation.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a production environment.

Compensation and Opportunity
