EHS Technician

Our client, located in Wilmer, is seeking an EHS Technician to join their growing Manufacturing team!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety and environmental training, including proper use of safety equipment and emergency response.
• Ensure workers are using required PPE such as masks, smocks, and gloves.
• Examine worksites for environmental or physical hazards that could affect employee health and safety.
• Investigate incidents to determine cause and prevention, and prepare written reports of findings.
• Support compliance audits of site programs and policies and report outcomes to the EHS Supervisor.
• Collaborate with management to establish and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
• Manage the EHS document portal and compliance calendar.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents.
• Participate in EHS training sessions, drills, and safety meetings.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Safety.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (TCEQ, EPA, etc.).
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
• Experience writing EHS reports to regulatory authorities.
• Ability to create new policies and procedures.
• OSHA Certification preferred but not required.
• Environmental regulation experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present in front of large groups.
• Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift and lift up to 75 lbs.

Shifts:

A - Sunday to Tuesday, every other Wednesday. 6am to 6pm.

B - Sunday to Tuesday, every other Wednesday. 6pm to 6am.

C - Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday. 6am to 6pm.

D - Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday. 6pm to 6am.

• 6 month contract-to-hire set up.
• Day shift pay: $20
• Night shift pay: $22

You should be proficient in:

• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification
• Workplace Safety & EHS Management
