Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Location

San Antonio, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekend On-Call | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting with 3–4 patient assignments
• Care for admission holds as needed within the unit
• Assist with procedures including Coronary Artery Bypass, Surgical Valve Replacements, Adult Heart Transplant, TAVR, Pediatric Hearts, Thoracic/Lung procedures, and Ventricular Assist Devices
• Participate in rotating on-call and weekend requirements as scheduled
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Heart Transplant experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (facility requirement)
• PALS certification required (facility requirement)
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience in CVOR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Heart experience
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience
• Cell Saver and Peripheral Vascular experience
• Meditech documentation system experience
