Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge in the rollout of large DWDM networks and Optical network technologies, along with expertise in optical planning and modeling tools. This role demands robust troubleshooting skills and network analysis fundamentals to ensure smooth operations and high availability of network systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate high-capacity DWDM systems, ensuring global interconnection of data centers.
• Diagnose and resolve Optical DWDM network issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Balance multiple responsibilities across product development, operations, and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in operational on-call duties to ensure continuous network performance.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with DWDM/Optical Network Systems.
• Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
• Understanding of network design and architecture.
• Experience in cross-platform integration to enhance product portfolio.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Arlington, VA.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $78.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
