We are looking for a Collections Specialist who can build rapport with customers, identify solutions, and help individuals bring their accounts back into good standing.

What You'll Be Doing

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts in a professional and respectful manner.
• Understand the reasons behind missed payments and identify solutions that work for both the customer and the business.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and secure payment commitments.
• Utilize strong communication and de-escalation skills during difficult conversations.
• Accurately document customer interactions, agreements, and account updates.
• Manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive customer information.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Customer service experience, preferably in a call center or phone-based environment

Collections, banking, lending, financial services, or payment processing experience

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Ability to confidently navigate difficult conversations

Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

Comfortable using CRM systems and multiple computer applications

Able to work independently while meeting individual and team goals

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous collections experience
• Experience in banking, lending, credit unions, or financial services
• Familiarity with payment plans, delinquency management, and collections regulations
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
