Janitor, PT

Broad Description of Duties:

Under the direction of the theatre management team, the Janitor is responsible for the cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of the theatre and building surroundings.

This position reports to a member of the theatre management team or General Manager.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

• Clean the facility during non-operating hours to prepare for the day

• Sweep, mop, or vacuum building floors

• Collect and take out garbage from building

• Clean restrooms and stock them with supplies

• Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment

• Wash windows, walls, and glass

• Make minor building repairs

• Notify managers when a building needs major repairs

• All other light maintenance duties, as needed and assigned by the theatre management team or General Manager.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, and/or walk occasionally. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.

• Previous shop courses a plus
