Junior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is an onsite position four days per week. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of accounting experience and a bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting. Compensation: $70,000–$90,000 base salary + bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule outgoing payments to ensure they are processed accurately and on time.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory tracking, purchase orders, and customer sales.
• Provide weekly AR/AP reporting to senior leadership.
• Perform monthly inventory reviews, account reconciliations, and journal entries, while assisting with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Sales teams to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, particularly in areas such as inventory management.
• Prepare ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support decision-making, including evaluating inventory turnover and working capital utilization.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required.
• Strong interest in financial analysis, inventory control, or business operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including journal entries, credits, and inventory management, is required.
• Must be comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications (especially Excel and Word) or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
