Racker production

Location: Newaygo, MI
 Shift: 3rd Shift
 Pay: $20.53 per hour

Start your career here! We’re seeking a Production Racker to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you’ll help keep the paint line running by staging, moving, loading, unloading, and handling racks safely and efficiently to support production uptime and quality standards.

As a Production Racker, your core responsibilities will include:

Rack handling: Take racks on and off the paint line by hand or with a hoist, and pull carts of racks to and from the rack barn.

Production support: Stage and return paint racks to help maintain paint line uptime, production flow, and 5S standards.

Shipping and receiving: Read shippers, receive or ship racks from the burn-off supplier, and load or unload burn-off trailers as needed.

In addition, you will be expected to follow production schedules, wear required safety gear, maintain quality standards, and operate job-related equipment such as hand tools, production machinery, fork-lifts, and hilo equipment if required.

What We're Looking For

Mechanical ability to perform moderately complex set-ups and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment in process.

Ability to operate within production and quality standards, including using job-related equipment such as fork-lifts, hand tools, production machinery, and related tools.

Ability to lift over 50 lbs. frequently and perform physical work throughout the shift.

Skills:

Communication and teamwork: Work effectively with a small team and communicate well with different personalities.

Decision-making and problem-solving: Manage, prioritize, and respond to multiple issues at one time to keep production moving.

Flexibility and reliability: Work overtime requirements, maintain flexible work hours, read production schedules, and maintain a hilo license if required.
