Clinical Phone Team Specialist – Dermatology

About the Role

OnSpot Dermatology is seeking an experienced Clinical Phone Team Specialist. This position supports patients by phone and assists with key clinical and administrative needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume inbound patient calls and return patient calls as needed.
• Communicate biopsy and pathology results to patients according to provider instructions.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and escalate clinical concerns to providers when necessary.
• Complete and track prior authorizations and communicate with insurance companies.
• Process and send medical records in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical communications in the EMR.
• Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and other departments to support patient care.
• Provide professional, compassionate, and timely patient service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology required.
• Strong knowledge of dermatology terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows.
• Experience with biopsy/pathology results, prior authorizations, and medical records.
• EMA/Modernizing Medicine experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of tasks.
• Comfortable using EMR and other computer systems.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
