Job Title: Event Support Specialist

Location: Palm Beach, FL

Job Type: Independent Contractor 

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (rate based on market and relevant experience) 

Expected Dates and Hours: 11/4-11/8 and 11/16-11/18 (10am-6pm)

Job Overview: 

Winston Retail is seeking an Event Support Specialist to assist with visual merchandising installations, event setup, and event breakdown activities. This hands-on role is responsible for organizing, unpacking, maintaining event materials, and executing client standards and directives with precision. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, demonstrating professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences.

  Responsibilities: 

• Support visual merchandising setups, installations, and event executions
• Organize, stage, inventory, and store visual assets, props, décor, and signage
• Assist with setting up, breakdown, packing, and asset management
• Maintain organized work and storage areas.
• Follow all security, safety, and operational procedures.
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
• Smartphones are required for reporting:
• IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
• Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift  

Experience & Skills: 

• Previous experience in event setup, visual merchandising, retail operations, inventory support, warehouse operations, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, unpack, and organize event materials and display assets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet event deadlines.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with visual merchandising and event teams.
• Ability to follow security, safety, and operational procedures in a luxury retail environment
• Proven experience in retail merchandising or a related field is preferred 
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
