Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (12-Hour Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit managing patient populations including respiratory failure, sepsis, GIB, alcohol withdrawal, complicated surgeries, decompensating oncology patients, diabetic or renal complications, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and comfort care
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring for all patients, including cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Manage and maintain central lines, trachs, tubes, drains, and BiPAP; administer and monitor common medications including Cardizem, heparin, insulin (non-DKA), nitro, Lasix, and Dilaudid
• Complete CIWA assessments and apply clinical protocols as appropriate for patient acuity
• Document patient care using EPIC; operate Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis, and MP50 Philips bedside monitors
• Float as needed to ICU (PCU-level patients), CCU, Observation, ED Holding, and overflow areas per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a PCU/Stepdown setting
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Demonstrated telemetry experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficiency with trach care, CIWA protocol, BiPAP, central line maintenance/management, and tube/drain management
• COVID vaccination required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tube management
• Familiarity with vasoactive medications including dopamine and nicardipine
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
