Warehouse and Production Operations Specialist

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations at a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing receiving, storage, inventory control, and outbound shipping activities.

The position is operational and hands-on. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and adherence to strict safety and compliance standards typical of chemical handling environments.

This role also serves as the primary escalation point for warehouse operational issues and supports continuous improvement in warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

•Manage inbound receiving and outbound shipping processes

•Ensure accurate handling, storage, and movement of chemical products

•Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment

•Coordinate daily workflow to support production and distribution needs

Inventory Control

•Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation activities

•Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

•Partner with production and supply chain teams to ensure material availability

Leadership & Team Management

•Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight

•Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational efficiency

Issue Resolution

•Act as escalation point for warehouse-related operational issues

•Troubleshoot shipping delays, inventory variances, and workflow disruptions

•Implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed

Safety & Compliance

•Enforce OSHA, EPA, and internal safety standards for chemical handling and storage

•Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to hazardous material protocols

•Support internal and external audits and inspections

Qualifications

Required

•5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience

•Experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or regulated environments preferred

•Strong background in shipping, receiving, and inventory management

•Prior supervisory or team leadership experience

•Strong understanding of workplace safety standards

Preferred

•Experience handling hazardous materials or chemicals

•Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)

•Experience in a production-supporting warehouse environment
