Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide compassionate, hands-on support in a skilled nursing facility serving older adults and seniors, including patients receiving short-term rehabilitation. The CMA will support high-volume rehabilitation workflows, provide routine bedside care and documentation, assist with medication room and clinical support, and deliver assigned-unit patient care while promoting safety, comfort, and effective communication. Flexible shifts are available; see below.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and support assigned-unit needs.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Assist patients with mobility and safe patient handling.
- Support activities of daily living, including hygiene, feeding, and toileting.
- Monitor patients and communicate changes to the appropriate clinical team.
- Document care accurately and promptly.
- Prepare and maintain patient rooms.
- Provide medication-room and clinical support as assigned.
Current Shifts
- 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM
- 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Required Qualifications
At least six months of experience in certified medical assisting.
Iowa registry required
