Location: Fullerton, CA Pay: $28 per hour Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday, 5:00 AM–11:00 AM Job Type: Short-term temporary position, possibly through December Start Date: ASAP

Work Setting

Work in a manufacturing facility in Fullerton that produces top-quality aviation parts and control systems for commercial, military, and executive aircraft. You will help make sure aircraft parts meet strict quality and safety standards.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to check parts and products to make sure they meet quality standards. You will inspect parts, read technical drawings, measure items, and keep records of your work.

You will check parts when they arrive, during production, and before they are shipped. You will also report any parts that do not meet the required standards.

Job Duties

• Check parts when they arrive at the facility.

• Inspect parts during production and before shipping.

• Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) reports using AS9102 forms.

• Read technical drawings and follow work instructions.

• Use measuring tools to check part sizes and accuracy.

• Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM measuring equipment.

• Record inspection results and keep paperwork organized.

• Report parts that do not meet quality standards.

• Enter quality documents into the EPICOR computer system.

• Help track tools and equipment to make sure they are checked and calibrated on time.

• Follow company quality and safety rules.

• Work with the inspection team and ask for help when needed.

• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience inspecting parts or working as a machinist or technician.

• Able to read and understand technical drawings.

• Experience using measuring tools to check parts.

• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical inspection methods.

• Experience with part measurements and allowed size differences (GD&T).

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to use a computer to enter information and save documents.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, and reach as needed.

• Able to lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds at times.

• Able to work in an office and on the factory floor.

Work Environment

• The office has heating and air conditioning.

• The factory floor is in the same building as the office.

• Noise levels are moderate.

• Some work may take place outdoors.
