About this job
Job Description
An IQC (Incoming Quality Control) inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, components, and parts meet the company’s quality standards before they enter production. This role is critical because defects caught early prevent downstream failures, rework, and customer complaints.
Responsibilities
These duties align closely with general quality control inspector functions described across multiple industry sources.
- Inspect incoming materials — Examine, measure, and test raw materials or components to verify they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Identify defects or non‐conformities — Detect deviations, damage, or inconsistencies and determine whether materials should be accepted, rejected, or sent for rework.
- Review supplier documentation — Check certificates of analysis, test reports, and compliance documents to ensure supplier quality matches requirements.
- Use inspection tools and equipment — Apply gauges, calipers, microscopes, and testing devices to perform accurate evaluations.
- Record inspection results — Document findings, maintain inspection logs, and update quality records for traceability.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams — Report issues to purchasing, engineering, and production teams; collaborate on corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement — Provide feedback on recurring supplier issues and help refine incoming inspection standards.
- Ensure compliance with procedures — Follow established QC protocols, sampling plans, and company quality systems.
Join us as an IQC Inspector and be instrumental in safeguarding product integrity from the very first step! Your expertise will drive our commitment to delivering safe, reliable products that meet the highest industry standards.
