Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Assistant to join a busy manufacturing facility. This position will assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and metal stamping equipment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment, including lubrication and greasing.
- Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Disassemble machinery and repair or replace worn or defective parts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machine tools to complete repairs.
- Assist with moving and installing equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.
- Follow instructions from maintenance leads and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Experience with metal stamping or fabrication equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have own set of hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
Work Environment
- Air-conditioned manufacturing facility.
- Industrial metal fabrication and stamping environment.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Pay & Schedule
- $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- 1st Shift – Daytime Hours
