Machine Shop Manager

• Oversee comprehensive component repair operations, including TIG welding, hand finishing, and outside processing.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize lead times, quality, and delivery performance.
• Establish and monitor labor standards to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Analyze technical data and engineering drawings to develop safe and cost-effective repair sequences.
• Collaborate with Engineering to maintain FAA-compliant repair processes.
• Provide Sales with accurate labor and material cost estimates to support customer quotations.
• Monitor work-in-progress and provide updates during daily production meetings.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and supervise shop personnel while fostering accountability and productivity.
• Maintain machinery, tools, and workspaces in clean, organized, and professional condition.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for shop equipment.
• Enforce safety protocols throughout machining and repair areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machine Shop Manager or in an equivalent role within a turbine engine component repair environment.
• Expertise in conventional machining and repair equipment.
• Proven experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced aviation or precision manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of turbine engine component repair techniques.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and repair instructions.
• Extensive experience using precision inspection tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications; SolidWorks and CNC programming experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, technical expertise, and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
