KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Core & Shared Responsibilities (All Technicians)Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager and engineering team to build systems, improve fabrication/assembly processes, and optimize overall system efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical or electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, collaborating with engineers to develop effective solutions.
Quality Assurance: Inspect components and finished products for defects to ensure all Nanogrid units meet stringent quality and performance standards.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized work environment and strictly adhere to all company and industry safety regulations and procedures.
Senior-Level Leadership: Senior technicians will lead complex system builds, adjust and optimize machinery/equipment settings, and train/mentor junior co-workers on the safe and efficient use of tools, machinery, welding equipment, and testing instruments.
Mechanical Implementation & Assembly: Assist with mechanical implementation, trailer fabrication, structural welding, mechanical assembly, and ongoing maintenance tasks.
Precision Metalworking & Woodworking: Utilize a variety of metalworking tools (welders, grinders, cutting tools, drills, bending and forming equipment) and woodworking equipment to cut, shape, and assemble durable components with precision.
Expert Finishing: Apply expertise in finishing techniques, such as painting and protective surface treatments, for durable and aesthetically pleasing final products.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute practical ideas for improving product design, structural build methods, and finishing techniques.
AC & DC System Integration: Lead or assist with the wiring and integration of low-voltage DC circuits (12V/24V/48V), high-power 3-phase AC, and 120/240V single-phase AC electrical systems (off-grid and grid-connected).
Nanogrid Component Assembly: Assemble and wire core renewable energy components, including solar panels, battery storage systems, and hydrogen systems.
Power Conversion Electronics: Install, wire, and configure power electronics, specifically DC-to-AC inverters and power conversion modules.
Controls & Diagnostics: Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, controls, and instrumentation within the Nanogrid units.
