CornerStone Staffing is hiring a dependable and experienced Cook to support a Family Shelter Program in Denton, TX (76209)!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of experience preparing meals for large groups
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate
• Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen sanitation, and safe food handling practices
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a busy kitchen
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the required Wednesday–Sunday schedule
• Positive attitude and willingness to support families in a shelter environment

Compensation & Schedule:

Pay: $15.90/hr

Hours:

• Wednesday–Sunday | 1PM–7PM
• OT will be required based on business needs

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks following established menus and schedules
• Cook meals for large groups while maintaining food quality and proper portion sizes
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
• Keep kitchen areas, appliances, equipment, and utensils clean and organized
• Monitor food inventory and help maintain adequate kitchen supplies
• Properly store food and supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste
• Ensure meals are prepared and served safely, on time, and in a presentable manner
