About this job
Job Description
Kansas City, MO | Full-Time | In-Person
The OpportunityThis isn't a high-volume personal injury mill. It's a plaintiff-side firm that takes pride in working cases deeply — building real client relationships, thinking creatively, and developing attorneys who want to grow into their best work.
If you're a sharp litigator who's been stuck grinding through cases without the support or challenge you're looking for, this is worth a closer look.
What You'll Do- Develop and execute strategy on personal injury and long-term disability cases
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and correspondence
- Negotiate directly with insurance companies
- Communicate with clients with clarity and genuine empathy
- Review medical records and expert reports
- Supervise paralegals and legal assistants through a case management system
- Oversee the settlement and lien reduction process
- Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials
- Active bar license in Missouri and/or Kansas — both preferred
- 5–7+ years of litigation experience; plaintiff-side personal injury strongly preferred
- Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a demanding caseload
- A self-starter who takes initiative, speaks up, and is hungry to keep improving
Candidates should be comfortable working primarily in-office in Kansas City and demonstrate a stable, consistent employment history.
