Summary

The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for supporting the order fulfillment process, including receiving, processing, preparing, and shipping orders. This position also assists with inventory management, recordkeeping, order accuracy, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The position may require the operation of warehouse equipment and familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and orderly workplace.
• Unload and move materials from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or using appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received and shipped.
• Prepare orders for shipment and ensure orders are complete and accurate.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding applicable changes to procedures, policies, or order requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, overages, discrepancies, or other issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate with customers, when necessary, regarding delivery status and service-related matters.
• Address and resolve escalated customer or order-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding inventory, orders, shipments, and operational activity.
• Communicate relevant issues, discrepancies, trends, or other developments to appropriate team members and management.
• Follow all applicable workplace safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficiency with common computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and computer skills.
• Ability to accurately enter, maintain, and retrieve information.
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory, and order processing systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic inventory counts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education or training in logistics, supply chain, operations, business, or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, or logistics operations preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and order processing systems preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registration

• No specific certifications or licenses required.
• Ability to operate applicable material-handling equipment may be required based on job responsibilities and applicable workplace requirements.

• Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with warehouse and fulfillment operations.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

Travel

Minimal travel may be required.

Work Environment

The work environment may include both office and warehouse areas. Noise levels may range from quiet to moderate. Employees are expected to follow applicable workplace safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
