Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Alternative Care Solutions PA LLC is seeking a Billing Specialist for our home health care office in Mitchell. The ideal candidate will have active experience managing Medicare and Medicaid billing, along with prior administrative experience within a home health agency. The ideal candidate should be able to seamlessly integrate into our billing cycle and confidently manage claim scrubbing, denial management, and regulatory compliance. We offer a starting wage of $25 per hour, with an aggressive performance-based compensation plan available after 90 days for candidates who consistently demonstrate excellence in Medicaid and Medicare billing accuracy, efficiency, and overall performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Medicare and Medicaid billing processes for home health services
• Perform claim scrubbing to ensure accuracy before submission
• Monitor and manage claim denials, working to resolve and re-submit as needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient financial records
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support revenue cycle efficiency

Qualifications

• Active experience in Medicare and Medicaid billing, preferably in home health settings
• 1–2 years of billing or administrative experience in a home health agency
• Strong understanding of payer policies, billing codes, and denial management
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency with common billing software and electronic health record systems

Preferred (not required)

• Certification related to medical billing or revenue cycle management
• Experience with home health software platforms and payer portals
