CNC Lathe Operator

CNC Lathe Operator Monday-Friday 5am-2pm $25-$30 DOE

Job Summary:

A CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring computer numerical control (CNC) lathe machines to manufacture precision metal or plastic parts according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into the machine.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.
• Replace cutting tools and assist with basic machine adjustments.
• Identify machine malfunctions, production issues, and defective parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC lathe operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of machining processes and CNC equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment: Manufacturing or machine shop setting, with exposure to industrial equipment, metal shavings, and production machinery.
